  32. This is obviously the week/month/whatever for reporting this problem.
  33. There's someone complaining on comp.text.tex, too (he claims "the
  34. average user isn't interested in portability -- TeX should allow *any*
  35. file name").  Sadly the syntax of the \input command is rather less
  36. than optimal for this.

  38. For your user to solve the problem in finite time, she needs to rename
  39. the file to use an underline or something.

  41. I *think* that the porting rules would allow Karl to _permit_ (but not
  42. to _require_) quoted file names, but he's probably got more important
  43. things to do with his time.
